About Raye Collin
Collin Raye, born Floyd Elliott Wray on August 22, 1960, in De Queen, Arkansas, is a country music artist who rose to prominence in the 1990s. His mother, Lois Wray, was a regional musician who performed with artists such as Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. Raye began his career performing with his brother, Scott, in the Wray Brothers Band before achieving success as a solo artist.
Raye’s catalog includes several hit songs that became staples of country radio, including "Love, Me," "In This Life," "My Kind of Girl," "That's My Story," and "One Boy, One Girl." He also recorded the song "A Bible and a Bus Ticket Home." Since the 2000s, he has occasionally recorded contemporary Christian music.
In 2001, Raye received the Humanitarian of the Year award from the Country Radio Seminar. While his primary identity remains that of a country musician, his work has included faith-based storytelling and performances at Christian events.
