Rebecca Malope is a South African gospel singer and television personality, often recognized as a leading voice in gospel music. She was born on June 30, 1968, in Lekazi, near Nelspruit, South Africa. Malope rose to prominence after winning the "Shell Road to Fame" competition in the late 1980s. She has released over 30 albums throughout her career, including the album *Ukholo Lwami*. Her catalog includes songs such as "Don't Let Me Die," "Look at Me," "Uthando Lwam'," "Shwele Baba," "Ngibe Muhle Nam'," and "I Thank You Lord." She also hosted the gospel television program *It's Gospel Time*. Her contributions to music have been recognized with several awards, including multiple South African Music Awards, Crown Gospel Music Awards, MetroFM Music Awards, and Kora All Africa Music Awards. In addition, she was awarded the Order of Ikhamanga in Silver by the South African Presidency for her contributions to music.
