About Rudy Currence

Rudy Currence is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and keyboardist whose work spans R&B, soul, and contemporary gospel. A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and the son of a pastor, he grew up singing and playing in church. He is a graduate of Furman University with a degree in music and is trained in classical and jazz piano. Currence has achieved notable success both as a producer and as a solo artist. He won a Grammy and a Dove Award for his production work on Lecrae’s album *Gravity*. He also received a Grammy nomination for writing “Sunday A.M.” for Karen Clark Sheard. As a recording artist, he has topped the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart with three singles: “I Belong Here,” “No Greater Love” (featuring Chrisette Michele), and “God Don’t Cancel Me.” His catalog includes songs such as “Ransom,” “Testimony,” and “Nobody Can Take It,” as well as the album *Stained Glass Windows*.
