Ryan Ellis

Ryan Ellis is a California-based singer-songwriter and worship leader whose path to Christian music included service in the U.S. Navy and a career as a founding member of the hip-hop dance team Jabbawockeez. After a five-year military stint that included a tour of duty in Afghanistan, he transitioned into music ministry, serving as a worship leader for Isla Vista Worship and as a member of the Housefires worship collective. Ellis has written songs for artists including Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Natalie Grant. His songwriting contribution to Chris Tomlin’s “Resurrection Power” earned him a GMA Dove Award nomination and an ASCAP “Most Performed Song” award in 2018. His own catalog includes songs such as “Heart of The Father,” “Son Of David,” “Keep My Eyes Up,” “Heaven,” “All My Praise,” “Need,” “Gonna Be Alright,” and “Without Jesus.” His debut self-titled album was released in 2022. The single “Heart of the Father” reached number two on both the Christian Airplay and Christian AC Airplay charts.
