Samsong

Samsong, born Samson Uche Mogekwu, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born in Delta State, Nigeria, and is based in Abuja, where he serves as the CEO of Boogiedown Concept. He studied Accounting at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. His music career began as a member of the quartet Praise Creation, which released the album "Best of Life" in 1996. Samsong launched his solo career in 2002 with the album "Count Your Blessings." His catalog includes songs such as "Jesus" featuring Mercy Chinwo, "Victory Chant," "Turn Me Around," "Odogwu," "Bianule," "E Dey Work," and "Still Counting." Over the years, Samsong has received several recognitions for his work, including the Psalmist Award in 2000, TOMA Awards in 2004, the Nigerian Entertainment Awards in New York in 2008, the SSMA and NGMA in 2009, the NGM in 2011, and the Nigeria Goodwill Ambassador award in 2013. He also received the Most Wanted African Song award at the CCMA in 2013.
