Sandra McCracken

Sandra McCracken is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, author, and producer whose work has become a significant part of modern congregational singing. Her musical style blends folk, Americana, and gospel traditions, and she is widely recognized as a prominent writer of modern hymns and songs that incorporate scripture. Over a career spanning more than two decades, she has released 18 solo albums.

McCracken is a founding member of the Indelible Grace Music artist collective, a community known for setting historic hymn texts to new music. Her 2015 album Psalms is noted for its impact on modern worship, and her catalog includes songs such as "We Will Feast in the House of Zion" and "Steadfast." Her album God’s Highway reached the top 50 on the Billboard charts.

In 2023, McCracken won the GMA Dove Award for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year for her album Light in the Canyon. She is also the author of the book Send Out Your Light: The Illuminating Power of Scripture and Song. Beyond her recording career, she has served as an artist-in-residence at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, focusing on the intersection of theology and creativity.
