Sandi Patty

Sandi Patty, born Sandra Faye Patty on July 12, 1956, is an American Christian music singer known for her wide soprano vocal range. She is the most awarded female vocalist in contemporary Christian music history, having received 40 Dove Awards. Her career has also earned her five Grammy Awards and four Billboard Music Awards. In Christian music circles, she is often referred to as "The Voice." Patty has sold over 11 million albums throughout her career. Her catalog includes well-known songs such as "We Shall Behold Him," "I've Just Seen Jesus," "More Than Wonderful," and "In the Name of the Lord." She has also recorded enduring hymns and favorites like "How Great Thou Art," "Shepherd of My Heart," "Love in Any Language," and "His Eye Is on the Sparrow." Her contributions to the genre have been recognized with her induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2004. She was also inducted as an Indiana Living Legend in 2007. Beyond her music, Patty is an author who has written books, including "The Voice: Listening for God's Voice and Finding Your Own." She has also performed for four consecutive American Presidents.
