About Stacie Orrico
Stacie Orrico began her career in the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) industry, signing with ForeFront Records and achieving success on Christian music charts. Stacie Joy Orrico was born on March 3, 1986, in Seattle, Washington, one of five children born to parents who were Christian missionaries. She grew up in Denver, Colorado, where she participated in church choir and took piano lessons. Orrico gained early recognition in 1998 at age 12 after winning a vocal competition at the Estes Park Christian Artist Seminar.
She signed with ForeFront Records to release her debut album, *Genuine* (2000). The album set a record for first-week sales for a Christian female debut at the time of its release. Her music is characterized by a blend of pop, R&B, and Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) styles. Throughout her career, she has navigated both the Christian music market and mainstream pop charts, and she has been a nominee for the GMA Dove Awards, which honor excellence in Christian and Gospel music.
Her catalog includes songs such as "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life," "I Could Be The One," "Stuck," "I Promise," "I'm Not Missing You," and "So Simple." Her self-titled album, *Stacie Orrico* (2003), was certified Gold by the RIAA, with over 500,000 units sold in the United States.
