About Steve Amerson
Steve Amerson, born March 28, 1954, is a singer, songwriter, and recording artist known as "America's Tenor." He founded Amerson Music Ministries in 1988 as a non-profit organization, establishing a platform for his work in sacred, inspirational, and church music.
Amerson has recorded numerous solo projects featuring sacred, Christmas, and patriotic selections, including the albums *Shine On Me*, *Great American Songs*, and *Amazed By America*. His catalog also includes the song "Where Else Would A Lamb Be Born."
His professional career includes extensive work as a session singer for major motion pictures and television. Alongside this, he has served as a guest soloist for Billy Graham Crusades and events at the Moody Bible Institute. He has also ministered alongside pastors and authors including Charles Swindoll, Jack Hayford, and David Jeremiah, and regularly participates in worship services at the U.S. Capitol. In 2009, he was the recipient of the Bob Hope Excellence in Entertainment Award from the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.
