TAYA

TAYA, born Taya Smith-Gaukrodger, is an Australian singer-songwriter and worship leader. She rose to prominence as a vocalist for Hillsong UNITED, notably on the song "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)." That song won Song of the Year at the 2014 GMA Dove Awards and spent 61 weeks at number one on the Billboard Top Christian Songs chart. TAYA relocated from Lismore to Sydney, Australia, in 2010 to pursue a music career. After moving to Sydney, she began serving in youth and young adult ministries at Hillsong Church. Her music is characterized by themes of worship, surrender, and faith in Jesus. Her debut self-titled solo album was released in 2022. The project includes songs such as "For All My Life," "Getaway," "All Eyes On You," "Sorry To Grieve You God," "Canticle," "Heart & Flesh," "Glory Hallelujah," and "Narrow Road." TAYA is also a mother and wife.
