Tembalami

Tembalami is the professional name of Temba Tagwireyi, a Zimbabwean gospel artist and businessman born in 1982. He began his music career in 2002 as a member of the gospel group The Burning Bush and later became a founding member of the Zimpraise Choir in 2006. His solo career launched with the 2011 album *Brighter Day*. His music is characterized by a fusion of contemporary gospel with Shona and English lyrics. He has released multiple albums, including *Faith-Aid Kit* (2013), *Ministry of Works* (2015), *The Fight* (2018), *Not Going Back* (2022), and *Church on the Street* (2024). His catalog also includes singles such as "Tomurumbidza Medley" (2011), "Sekerera" (2017), "It's Coming Down" (2020), "Mbiri" (2020), "Good Good" (2022), "Gore Rino" (2024), "Minamato" (2025), and "Rapai Moyo" (2026). Tembalami received a nomination for the Maranatha Awards for the song "Mbiri," a collaboration with Janet Manyowa. He was also nominated for the Kenyan Gospel Groove awards in 2019.
