Terrell Carter

Terrell Carter is an American actor, singer, and songwriter born in Buffalo, New York, whose career has spanned both gospel music and mainstream entertainment. He began his musical journey touring with gospel artist Fred Hammond as a member of the group Radical for Christ, grounding his work in the sounds of R&B, soul, and gospel. Carter gained widespread recognition for his role in Tyler Perry’s *Diary of a Mad Black Woman*, where he performed the song “Father Can You Hear Me.” He went on to appear in several other Tyler Perry stage productions, including *Madea’s Class Reunion*, *Meet the Browns*, and *What’s Done in the Dark*. His television credits have since expanded to include roles in the series *Empire*, *Shooter*, and *From Scratch*. Throughout his career, Carter has released multiple independent music projects. His catalog includes the album *Carlela’s Reign* and *Something in the Water: Life, Lessons and Redemption, Vol 1*, as well as songs such as “Rescue,” “Amen,” “All Of Me (Belongs to You),” “Walk By Faith,” and “I Wanna Be Loved.”
