TobyMac

TobyMac was born Kevin Michael McKeehan on October 22, 1964, in Fairfax, Virginia. He is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer who first gained prominence as a founding member of the Christian pop group dc Talk, which formed in the mid-1980s. He launched his solo career in 2001 with the release of the album *Momentum*. His solo music is known for blending genres including hip-hop, pop, and rock, and he performs with a road band known as Diverse City. His catalog includes the albums *Portable Sounds*, *Eye on It*, and *Life After Death*, as well as songs such as "Promised Land," "The Goodness," and "Faithfully." Over the course of his career, TobyMac has received seven Grammy Awards and 24 GMA Dove Awards. His album *Eye on It* debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. He has also spoken publicly about his faith and personal experiences, including the loss of his son.
