Tori Kelly

Tori Kelly is a singer-songwriter whose career has balanced mainstream pop and R&B success with a deep commitment to gospel music rooted in her Christian faith. Born Victoria Loren Kelly on December 14, 1992, in Wildomar, California, she first gained early recognition through YouTube before competing on the ninth season of *American Idol* in 2010. She signed with Capitol Records in 2013 and released her debut studio album, *Unbreakable Smile*, in 2015. Kelly has consistently incorporated themes of her Christian faith into her music throughout her career. This commitment was most fully realized with her 2018 album, *Hiding Place*, which was produced by Kirk Franklin and featured a gospel-influenced sound. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart. At the 2019 Grammy Awards, *Hiding Place* won the award for Best Gospel Album, and its single "Never Alone" won for Best Gospel Performance/Song. Beyond her gospel work, Kelly has also voiced the character Meena in the *Sing* animated film franchise. Her sixth studio album, *God Must Really Love Me*, was released in June 2026, featuring singles including "Control" and "Dive."
