UFIC Choir

The UFIC Choir is a large Zimbabwean gospel music ensemble associated with the United Family International Church (UFIC). Founded in 2008 by Prophet Emmanuel and Ruth Makandiwa, the choir is based in Harare and has grown to include approximately 400 to 500 members. Their music is characterized by strong harmonies and lyrics centered on faith and spirituality. The ensemble’s releases are often issued under the label Family Music Inc. Their catalog includes the album *Creative Worship & Praise* (2020) and the live recording *Open Heaven (Live)* (2023). The choir has collaborated with several featured artists on individual tracks, including Pastor Alex Gunda on “Greater Life,” Ezekiel Paul on “Ancient of Days,” and Minister Michael Mahendere on “You Are Bigger.” Additional songs in their repertoire include “Ariko Asingarare” featuring Worshipper Larry Gunda, “Mupinduri Wemubvunzo” featuring Tapiwa Masara, and “Ndirimukundi” featuring Aripheleng Kwela. Psalmist Hubert Chigumira has served as a leader of the UFIC Choir, guiding the ensemble in its ministry and musical output.
