Victor Thompson

Victor Ufuoma Thompson, a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader, was born on November 11, 1986, in Lagos State, Nigeria. He gained national exposure as a contestant on the second season of *The Voice Nigeria* in 2017. The following year, he officially launched his recording career with the single "Miyeruwe." Thompson’s musical style is a blend of contemporary gospel, soul, and Afrobeat-tinged worship. His catalog includes songs such as "Dependable God," "Not Moved," "My Back," and "You Are Jesus," a collaboration with Phil Thompson. He also released the album *Blessed*. His single "This Year (Blessings)" achieved notable chart success, reaching number 35 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats chart and number 14 on the Official Charts in the United Kingdom. The song also earned him a nomination for Best Inspirational Single at the 16th Headies Awards in 2023. Thompson is married to Henrietta Victor Thompson.
