About Walt Mills
Walt Mills was a gospel singer, songwriter, evangelist, and Christian television personality. Born Walter Clayton Mills Jr. on July 14, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, he attended Bible college in Waxahachie, Texas, and went on to serve as a career evangelistic minister. He was also a musician who played both the guitar and banjo.
Mills and his wife, Betty, hosted their own television programs for over 20 years. Their shows, *Revivals in the Land* on TBN and *Behold the Glory* on TCT, brought their ministry into homes across the country. In addition to his television work, Mills was a published author.
His recorded catalog includes songs such as "I'm On My Way to Heaven," "Holy Spirit, Flow Through Me," "Ain't Got Time For You Devil," "He's Still in the Fire," "You're All Invited to My Mansion," "Running On With Victory," and "This Is That." In 1993, the International Country Gospel Music Association (ICGMA) named him Artist of the Decade. He was later inducted into the ICGMA Hall of Fame and the Texas Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Walt Mills passed away on March 2, 2020, at the age of 83.
