Watoto Children's Choir

The Watoto Children’s Choir is a ministry-based musical ensemble from Watoto Church in Kampala, Uganda, that performs contemporary gospel and worship music. The choir was founded in 1994 as part of Watoto Child Care Ministries, an organization established by Gary Skinner, who founded the church in 1984. The ensemble is composed of children who have lost one or both parents to war or the AIDS epidemic. The choir’s performances blend African rhythms, contemporary gospel music, creative dance, and storytelling. Their mission is to share the hope of Christ while providing holistic care, including education and spiritual support, to vulnerable children. The choir tours internationally to raise awareness and funds for Watoto orphanages and community care programs. The choir has released several albums, including *Mambo Number 5*, *Beautiful Africa*, *What Is Love*, *Wherever You Will Go*, *Dancing In The House Of The Lord*, and *Ana Meremata*. They have also released the single and music video *Wonder Working God* and collaborated with Brad & Rebekah on the song *We Press On*.
