William Demps

William Demps is a gospel singer, songwriter, and praise and worship leader based in Seattle, Washington, who also serves as an assistant pastor at the Paradise of Praise Ministry. His musical style is described as a blend of church tradition and soul, reflecting his lifelong commitment to ministry. Demps entered the ministry at the age of 14, laying the foundation for a career that would bridge his pastoral work with contemporary gospel music. Demps gained national attention after appearing on John P. Kee's 2005 *New Artist Showcase* compilation. That same year, he was the winner of the Gospel Music Workshop of America's (GMWA) "Gospel Treasure Search." He was also a finalist in the 2006 McDonald's Gospel Fest New York Male Solo competition. In 2014, he reached a wider audience as a finalist on Season 7 of BET's *Sunday Best*. His recorded catalog includes the albums *Just a Reminder* (2007), *Seize the Moment* (2013), *Trust in You* (2013), *Oh Come Emmanuel* (2016), and *Beauty Out of You* (2017). Demps has also released singles in recent years, including "Alright" (2022) and "Joy," a 2023 collaboration featuring Israel Houghton, as well as the single "God's Gonna Do It."
