About Xolani Mdlalose

Xolani Mdlalose is a South African gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Born and raised in Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal, he first gained prominence as a member of the renowned gospel ensemble Joyous Celebration, where he served for six years. He is often referred to by the title "Prince of Praise." Mdlalose released his debut solo album, *My Worship*, in 2013. His catalog includes songs such as "Ngena," "Phakama," "Zibonakalise," and "Ngcwele (Hosanna)." He also appeared on the track "Avumile," featured on Benjamin Dube's 2017 album *Victorious In His Presence*, and contributed to the 2019 project "Kwanele Manje" by Artists In Activism. Beyond his music, Mdlalose has worked as a television personality on the channel ONE Gospel. He is a winner of a Crown Gospel Music Award and has been nominated for International Male Soloist of the Year at the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards. Mdlalose has also survived a brain aneurysm, an experience he describes as a life-altering medical condition, and he views his music as a testimony of faith and gratitude.
