Youthful Praise

Youthful Praise is an American gospel choir founded in 1991, originally known as "Teens of TFT" (Turner's Faith Temple). The group originated at Turner's Faith Temple in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and is led by director and composer James "J.J." Hairston, who also serves as the CEO and founder of the record label Jamestown Music. The choir released its debut album, *Awesome God*, in 2001, followed by albums including *Thank You for the Change*, *Live! The Praise... The Worship*, *Exalted*, and *Resting On His Promise*. Their song "You Deserve It" reached #1 on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs Chart in 2017. The group has performed on national platforms including *Good Morning America* and the Stellar Gospel Music Awards. Youthful Praise received 2003 Stellar Award nominations for Choir of the Year and Contemporary Choir of the Year. The group was also nominated for a 2018 Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song.
