In their upcoming album, Poets & Saints, All Sons & Daughters embark on a captivating journey into the lives of influential Christ-followers who shaped history. This project, accompanied by a book, curriculum, and study guide, delves into the stories of poets and saints, revealing the timeless truths that continue to impact believers today.

 

The idea for this ambitious undertaking began as a study of poets and saints, but quickly evolved into a vibrant exploration of church history and the lives of notable figures such as C.S. Lewis, John Newton, and Saint Therese. The All Sons & Daughters team, along with Jamie George, their pastor, set out on a European adventure to unearth hidden gems that would bridge the gap between the lives of these individuals and the present.

 

Produced by Chad Copelin and mixed by Shane Wilson and Sean Moffitt, the Poets & Saints album seeks to reimagine ancient-future truths that have resonated with generations of believers. Each song on the album, from the atmospheric "Heaven Meets Earth" to the stirring "Creation Sings," testifies to God's boundless creativity and unwavering mercy. The lead single, "I Surrender," sets the tone with its powerful message inspired by the life of Saint Francis of Assisi.

 

Accompanying the album is Jamie's book, Poets and Saints: Eternal Insight, Extravagant Love, Ordinary People, which offers a blend of biography, travel memoir, and spiritual insight. The book takes readers on a captivating journey from an Oxford pub to an Italian cathedral, bringing the stories of these poets and saints to life.

 

Through this project, All Sons & Daughters, along with Jamie George, hope to create a transformative worship experience that connects people with the spiritual legacies of the past and fosters authentic conversations, vulnerability, and discovery. They believe that by learning from the brokenness and courage of these poets and saints, we can find connection with one another and with God, ultimately leading to spiritual growth and life-changing experiences.
