Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers(28) Do thyself no harm.--Few and simple as the words are, they are eminently characteristic of the love and sympathy which burnt in St. Paul's heart. For him the suicide which others would have admired, or, at least, have thought of without horror, would have been the most terrible of all forms of death.
