Ellicott's Commentary for English ReadersXV.(1) And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron.--This chapter, which lays down the laws of uncleanness arising from issues, discusses two diseased and three natural secretions.RUNNING ISSUES FROM THE HUMAN BODY. These are the fourth cause of ceremonial uncleanness. We are not to look for a moral basis for the regulation on account of any vicious habit connected with such issues. They are foul and repulsive, and simply for that reason they are causes of ceremonial uncleanness to those who suffer from them, and to those who crone in contact with persons suffering from them.
