Akesse Brempong

Akesse Brempong is a Ghanaian gospel recording artist, songwriter, worship leader, and ordained pastor. Born Phil Evans Akesse-Brempong, he became a born-again Christian during his time at Kumasi High School. He later entered the ministry after being called by his church leadership. Often referred to by the moniker "The Lion," Brempong began his professional music career in 2014. His musical style is characterized by a blend of Western gospel, native Ghanaian rhythms, Afrobeats, and reggae. He has released multiple albums, including *The Awakening Live! – Alpha Edition*. His catalog includes songs such as "Crazy Love," "Heal Our Land," "God is Working," "Bountiful," "Okrosa Nyame (Triune God)," "Wo Na Wowo Tumi (Power Belongs to You)," "I.O.U. Love," and "Roar."
