About Bebe Winans

Benjamin Winans, known as BeBe Winans, was born on September 17, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan. He is the seventh child and youngest male of the Winans family, often called the "first family of gospel music." His early professional experience came as a background vocalist on the television program *The PTL Club*. BeBe Winans is known for his work as a solo artist and for his long-standing musical partnership with his sister, CeCe Winans. Together, they recorded songs including "Addictive Love" and "Heaven." His career spans gospel, R&B, and contemporary Christian music, often bridging these genres for mainstream audiences. He is recognized as a six-time Grammy Award winner, and has also earned ten Dove Award wins, six Stellar Award wins, four NAACP Image Award wins, and three Soul Train Music Award wins. Beyond recording, BeBe Winans has authored books, including his memoir *Born For This: My Story in Music* and *The Whitney I Knew*. He served as an executive music producer for the OWN Network series *Greenleaf* and developed the original musical *Born for This*, which has been produced in various cities including Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Boston. His catalog includes the album *Need You* and songs such as "It All Comes Down To Love," "Nobody Greater (Remix)" featuring VaShawn Mitchell and Tasha Cobbs Leonard, "Laughter" featuring Korean Soul, "He Promised Me" featuring Tobbi & Tommi and Kiandra, and "Free, Free."
