Betusile

Betusile Mcinga is a South African gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader known for his work in the gospel music scene. Born in Willowvale and raised in Umtata, Eastern Cape, he is the son of the gospel artist Dr. Lusanda Mcinga. He began his musical career at age 14, initially serving as a keyboard player for the Lusanda Spiritual Group. Betusile launched his solo career in 2008 with the release of his debut album, *Mandibe Ngowakho*. He is an independent artist and the founder of his own record label, Betusile Music Entertainment. His music is noted for blending traditional choral influences with contemporary gospel arrangements, and he is recognized for his involvement in church ministry, frequently performing at conferences, revivals, and community church events. His catalog includes songs such as "Ngena Noah," "Zundithwale," "Kuphelele," "Nyange lemihla," "Sinelizwi," "Ithamsanqa," and "Ezulwini." Betusile has received significant recognition for his work, winning the Song of the Year award for "Ngena Noah" at the 2023 Metro FM Awards and the Song of the Year award for "Zundithwale" at the 7th Crown Gospel Awards. He was also named Artist of the Year at the 2017 Eastern Cape Music Awards and Best National Artist at the 2017 Mpumalanga Gospel Awards.
