She uses both her maiden name, Brooke Fraser, and her married name, Brooke Ligertwood professionally, maintaining a career in both mainstream music and Christian worship music. She is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer who has served the global church through her long-standing involvement with Hillsong Worship. Ligertwood is known for her focus on the intersection of theology and art in her songwriting. Her catalog includes songs such as "Hosanna," "New Wine," and "King of Kings." She released the albums *SEVEN* and *EIGHT* as part of her solo worship work. She is married to fellow songwriter Scott Ligertwood. In 2018, Ligertwood won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "What a Beautiful Name."
