About Donnie Mcclurkin

Donnie McClurkin is a widely recognized American gospel singer, songwriter, and pastor. Born Donald Andrew McClurkin Jr. on November 9, 1959, in Amityville, New York, he is an ordained minister and the senior pastor of Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport, New York. Before establishing his own ministry, he served as an associate minister at Marvin Winans' Perfecting Church in Detroit for over a decade. McClurkin gained significant prominence in the 1990s following the release of his self-titled debut album in 1996. His catalog includes well-known songs such as "Stand," "Speak to My Heart," "We Fall Down," and "I Call You Faithful." He also recorded "Total Praise" with Richard Smallwood. In 2006, he launched *The Donnie McClurkin Show*, a nationally syndicated radio program. He is one of the top-selling gospel artists of all time, with reported sales exceeding 10 million albums worldwide. His achievements include three Grammy Awards, ten Stellar Awards, two BET Awards, two Soul Train Awards, one Dove Award, and one NAACP Image Award.
