About Jackie Hill Perry
Jackie Hill Perry, born Jackie Hill on June 21, 1989, is an American poet, writer, and hip-hop artist whose work is centered on her Christian faith. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri, she is known for her roles as a Bible teacher and author, as well as for her music and spoken word performances that frequently address themes of faith, redemption, and her personal testimony.
Her career in Christian hip-hop began when she was signed to the label Humble Beast. She released her album The Art of Joy in 2014, followed by Crescendo in 2018. She is currently signed to Reach Records, where she released the EP Practice in 2024 and the album Blameless in 2025. Her catalog also includes songs such as "Ready Or Not" and "Anti-Social," as well as spoken word pieces like "My Life As A Stud" and "A Poem About Weed."
In addition to her music, Jackie Hill Perry is the author of the book Gay Girl, Good God. She is married to fellow spoken-word artist Preston Perry, and they have four children.
