Jekalyn Carr

Jekalyn Almonique Carr was born on April 22, 1997, in West Memphis, Arkansas, and is an American gospel singer, songwriter, author, actress, and motivational speaker. She has been a featured speaker and singer in ministry since age 11 and began singing and ministering professionally at age 15. Her debut album, *Greater Is Coming*, was released in 2013. Her catalog includes songs such as "You're Bigger," "You Will Win," "Greater Is Coming," "I Believe God," "Jehovah Jireh," "My Portion," and "Changing Your Story." She also collaborated on the song "One Hallelujah." Carr has achieved multiple Billboard Gospel Airplay No. 1 hits. In 2021, she was inducted into the Women's Songwriters Hall of Fame, recognized as the first gospel artist to receive that honor. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden in 2022. In 2025, she won a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song.
