Joe Mettle

Joe Mettle, born Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle in Accra, Ghana, is a gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He attended Pentecost University College in Accra and began his career as a backing vocalist for gospel artists including Cindy Thompson and Danny Nettey. He later served as a lead singer for the music group Soul Winners before launching his solo career. Mettle released his debut album, *God of Miracles*, in 2008. His catalog also includes the albums *The Encounter*, *Wind of Revival*, and *The Kadosh*, as well as songs such as "Bo Noo Ni" and "Jesus Reigns." In 2017, he made history by becoming the first gospel artist to win the "Artiste of the Year" award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. That same year, he also won awards for Gospel Artiste of the Year, Best Male Vocalist, and Songwriter of the Year at the same ceremony. Through his ministry, Joe Mettle Ministries, he conducts community outreach programs.
