Marvia Providence

Marvia Providence is a gospel vocalist and licensed evangelist whose music ministry blends Caribbean rhythms with traditional Southern Gospel. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener, Ontario, and is a member of the Dominion Deliverance Ministries. Providence has ministered and performed internationally in the USA, UK, and various Caribbean nations. She has shared the stage with gospel artists including Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, and Shirley Caesar. Her recorded catalog includes songs such as "It's Raining," "I Am Anointed," "I Am A Warrior," "Hear My Cry Oh Lord," "Great is thy Glory," "Church Hymnal Medley (Live)," and "Love Grew When the Blood Fell." She also released the album *Too Much to Gain to Lose*. Her contributions to gospel music have been recognized with several awards. She was named the 2007 Top Caribbean Gospel Artist of the Year, received the 2008 Hopeton Lewis Caribbean Gospel Music Award, and was honored as the 2013 CCGMA Canadian Caribbean Female Gospel Artist. In 2015, she received the Canadian Achievement Glass Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award.
