About Micah Stampley
Micah Keith Stampley was born on September 7, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, and was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in a devout Christian household by his parents, Pastor Richard and Delmarie Stampley. He began participating in his father’s church choir at age four and was directing choirs by age seven. He is a singer, songwriter, choir director, and music minister.
Stampley is known for his multi-octave vocal range and his style of blending gospel with R&B, hip-hop, and funk influences. He married fellow gospel singer Heidi Jones in 1998, who became his partner in songwriting. His debut album, *The Songbook of Micah*, was released in 2005 and reached number three on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart. His catalog includes songs such as "Holiness (Take My Life)," "Another Place," and "Holy," and he was a featured artist on Nathaniel Bassey’s "Onise Iyanu."
Multiple albums, including *A Fresh Wind...The Second Sound*, *Ransomed*, *Release Me*, *One Voice*, and *Love Never Fails*, have charted in the gospel Top 15. Stampley also serves as the president of Interface Entertainment.
