Micah Tyler Begnaud was born on April 19, 1983, in Beaumont, Texas, and was raised in Buna, Texas. Before pursuing music full-time, he served as a youth pastor and worked as a delivery truck driver. He is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader whose music is characterized as Christian pop with elements of R&B, hip-hop, and country. Tyler gained initial viral attention in 2016 for his parody video, "You've Gotta Love Millennials." He is signed to Fair Trade Services, the same label as artists such as MercyMe and Skillet. His catalog includes songs such as "Walking Free," "Different," "New Today," "Praise The Lord," "I See Grace," "Perfectly," and "God Did It," as well as the EP *People Like Us*. Tyler was named "National Male Vocalist of the Year" at the 2012 Gospel Music Association Immerse Conference. He has achieved five #1 radio songs and received two BMI Top 25 Christian Song awards. He frequently tours, performing at youth camps, conferences, and with other Christian artists.
