Mmatema Moremi

Mmatema Moremi (born 26 February 1992) is a South African gospel singer, songwriter, television presenter, and actress. She was born in Zebediela, Limpopo, South Africa, and rose to national prominence as the runner-up on the eleventh season of *Idols South Africa* in 2015. Before her television fame, Moremi studied for a B-Tech degree in Applied Languages and Linguistics at the Tshwane University of Technology. During her university years, she was a member of the Reflex Raise Choir and the Tshwane Gospel Choir. After her time on *Idols South Africa*, she chose to pursue a career in gospel music through her own company, Mmatema Moremi Media Productions. Moremi has hosted the SABC 1 gospel program *Gospel Unplugged*. Her recorded songs include "Speak A Word" with Collen Maluleke, "I Am Grateful" (featured on *Spirit of Praise 8*), "O a ntwanela," "O tshepegile Morena," "Bina Moya Waka," and "O Lokile."
