New World Son

New World Son, also known as Newworldson, is a Canadian Christian band that originated in Niagara Falls. The band’s original lineup featured lead singer Joel Parisien, guitarist Josh Toal, bassist Rich Moore, and drummer Mark Rogers. Their sound has been described as a blend of musical styles that defies simple classification. The group gained international recognition following the release of their 2008 album "Salvation Station." They also toured with the Newsboys during the 2007-2008 GO Tour. The band’s catalog includes the albums "Salvation Station" and "Rebel Transmission," as well as songs such as "Sweet Holy Spirit," "Jamaican Praise Medley," "In Your Arms," and "Pledge Of Allegiance." New World Son achieved notable chart success with their singles. "There Is A Way" peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart, while "Learning To Be The Light" reached number 3. The band has been nominated for Juno Awards in the Christian/Gospel category multiple times, in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2013. They also received multiple awards from the Gospel Music Association of Canada.
