About Sidewalk Prophets

Sidewalk Prophets is an American contemporary Christian music band formed in 2003. The group originated at Anderson University in Indiana, where founding members Dave Frey (lead vocals) and Ben McDonald first came together. The band is signed to the label Curb | Word Entertainment. The group is known for its extensive touring and interactive fan experiences, often referring to its fanbase as "The Great Big Family." Sidewalk Prophets has released several major studio albums, including *These Simple Truths* (2009), *Live Like That* (2012), *Something Different* (2015), *The Things That Got Us Here* (2020), and *Looking Up* (2025). Their catalog includes songs such as "The Words I Would Say," "You Love Me Anyway," "Live Like That," "Come To The Table," "What A Glorious Night," "Smile," "I Believe It Now," and "Chosen." The band has achieved multiple No. 1 radio singles on Christian music charts. Sidewalk Prophets won the GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year in 2010. Their single "The Words I Would Say" has been certified Gold by the RIAA, and the band has also been nominated for a Billboard Music Award.
