Skillet

Skillet is an American rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1996. The band was founded by lead singer and bassist John Cooper and guitarist Ken Steorts. The current lineup consists of John Cooper, Korey Cooper (rhythm guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Jen Ledger (drums, vocals), and Seth Morrison (lead guitar). John Cooper is the only remaining original member of the group, and he and Korey Cooper are married and have been long-time members of the band. The band’s musical style incorporates elements of Christian rock, hard rock, alternative rock, and metal. Skillet is known for a relentless touring schedule and has received multiple Grammy Award nominations. Their catalog includes songs such as “Feel Invincible,” “Whispers in the Dark,” “Rebirthing,” “Victorious,” “Dead Man Walking,” “Anchor,” “Legendary,” and “Terrify the Dark.” The band has achieved significant commercial success. The albums *Comatose* and *Awake* are certified Platinum and Double Platinum, respectively, by the RIAA. The albums *Rise* and *Unleashed* are certified Gold. Several songs have also earned RIAA certifications. “Monster,” “Hero,” “Awake and Alive,” and “Feel Invincible” are certified Multi-Platinum. “Whispers in the Dark” and “Comatose” are certified Platinum, while “Rebirthing,” “Not Gonna Die,” “The Last Night,” “Legendary,” and “The Resistance” are certified Gold.
