The Petersens

The Petersens are an American family band based in Branson, Missouri, who perform a mix of bluegrass, country, and gospel music. The group was formed in 2005 after the family was inspired by a bluegrass festival at Gettysburg. The band consists of four siblings—Katie, Ellen, Matt, and Julianne—their mother, Karen, and family friend Emmett Franz. The family members are Christians who perform gospel music as part of their repertoire. The band has performed regularly in Branson, Missouri, since 2011 and established their own theater in 2015. In 2010, they won the CAM Gospel Sing-Off at the Sight & Sound Theatre in Branson. The group has toured internationally, including performances in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, and New Zealand. The Petersens also gained significant online recognition through their YouTube channel, where they share music videos and behind-the-scenes content. Their catalog includes albums such as *Homesick for a Country*, *Father, A Moment With You*, *Shenandoah*, and *Finally Going Home*, as well as the EP *The Greenest Grass*. Gospel songs in their repertoire include *Goodness of the Lord*, *Overseer of My Soul*, and *The Old Churchyard*.
