About Ellie Holcomb
Ellie Holcomb (born Elizabeth Asher Bannister, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. She is the daughter of noted music producer Brown Bannister. Holcomb began her musical career in 2005 as a member of the band Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, led by her husband, Drew Holcomb. Her solo career began with the release of the *Magnolia* EP in 2011.
Her debut studio album, *As Sure as the Sun* (2014), reached #1 on the iTunes Christian music chart. Her music is frequently characterized by scripture-infused lyrics and themes of faith, hope, and healing through suffering. She has authored several books, including the *Fighting Words* devotional.
Holcomb is a multiple GMA Dove Award winner. She received the 2014 Dove Award for "New Artist of the Year" and the 2020 Dove Award for "Children's Album of the Year" for *Sing: Remembering Songs*. Her catalog includes the albums *Red Sea Road*, *Canyon*, and *Far Country*, as well as songs such as "The Broken Beautiful," "Constellations," "I Will Carry You," and "Wonderfully Made."
