Jason Upton

Jason Upton was born on December 15, 1973, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is an American contemporary worship music singer, songwriter, and recording artist whose musical style is frequently described as being inspired by folk music. Often described as a singer-songwriter with the "heart of a pastor," Upton began ministering in churches across the United States at the age of 15. Upton holds a Master of Divinity degree, which he completed in 2000. His debut album, *Key of David*, was released that same year. He followed it with *Faith* in 2001 and *Jacob's Dream* in 2002. He is known for leading worship at various churches and conferences, and his catalog includes songs such as "In Your Presence," "Lion of Judah," "Home to Me," and "Jesus, You're Beautiful." His 2007 album *Between Earth and Sky* was featured on CBN's list of Best Christian Contemporary Albums. Upton later released the album *God Finds Us* in 2020.
