About Ryan Ofei

Ryan Ofei is a Ghanaian-Canadian singer, songwriter, and worship leader known for his solo work and his contributions to the collective Maverick City Music. Born in the United Kingdom and raised in Ghana, he later emigrated to Canada and is now based in Ottawa, Ontario. Before his wider recognition, Ofei served as a worship pastor and musical director for the campus ministry Campus Rush in Ottawa. He gained prominence as a songwriter and performer with the Atlanta-based collective Maverick City Music. Through his work with the group, Ofei has been nominated for Grammy Awards and was part of the project that won the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album for *Kingdom Book One (Deluxe)*. Ofei has also built a solo catalog, beginning with the EP *David’s Heart* in 2019, followed by *The Vow* in 2022. His debut solo album, *Restore*, was released in 2024 and won the 2025 Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. His recorded songs include "Jehova" and "Temple," and he has been a featured artist on tracks such as "Build My Life," "Moving," and "Rumors."
