William Mcdowell

William David McDowell was born on August 31, 1976, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is a gospel musician, singer-songwriter, and worship leader. He earned a degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University and was mentored by worship leader Ron Kenoly, later serving as a worship pastor at The Gathering Place Church. Today, he serves as the lead pastor of Deeper Fellowship Church in Orlando, Florida. McDowell has released several live worship albums, including *As We Worship* (2009), *Arise* (2011), and *Withholding Nothing* (2013). His catalog also includes the albums *Sounds of Revival* and songs such as "I Give Myself Away," "I Won't Go Back," "Stay," and "You Are God Alone." His recordings have charted on Billboard’s Gospel Albums, Independent Albums, and The Billboard 200. A Grammy-nominated artist, McDowell is also a Dove Award-winning and Stellar Award-winning artist. Beyond his music, he is the author of the book *It's Happening: A Generation Is Crying Out and Heaven Is Responding* and later wrote *The Only Answer Is Prayer* (2021).
