Joel Lwaga

Joel Lwaga is a Tanzanian gospel minister, songwriter, and recording artist. He was born and raised in a Christian family in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He is also a skilled piano player. Lwaga began his music career in 2016 with the release of his debut song, "Unaweza." His musical style blends praise and worship with contemporary influences. He is the founder of the label Heaven Culture on Earth (HCE). His catalog includes songs such as "Sitabaki Nilivyo," "Umejua Kunifurahisha," "Olodumare," "Bila Bila," "Yoyo," "Muda," and "New Beginning." His work has been recognized with several honors. He was the winner of the 2018 Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards for Best Petition Song for "Sitabaki Kama Nilivyo." In 2019, he was named East Africa Male Artist of the Year. Lwaga has ministered in various countries across East Africa.
