Disciple

Disciple is an American Christian metal and rock band formed in 1992 in Maryville, Tennessee. The band was founded by high school friends, including frontman Kevin Young, and the name "Disciple" was chosen to represent the group's core mission of being followers of Jesus Christ. Their music is characterized by a hard rock sound combined with lyrics focused on faith, human depravity, and the gospel. Throughout their career, the group has released 13 studio albums and multiple extended plays. Their catalog includes songs such as "Promise to Live," "The Executioner," "Dear X (You Don't Own Me)," "After the World," "Erase," and "Sound the Alarm." The band has achieved 18 number-one singles in the Christian rock genre. Their work has also been featured in various secular media, including sports broadcasts and television dramas. In 2024, the band received a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Firm Foundation (He Won't)." With over 30 years of history in the music industry, Disciple remains active in touring and ministry.
