Fight For Love

A failing body and a breaking heart set the scene, and the first verse refuses to treat that as the end: "Hell is awakened, the souls it's taking," yet "We're taking back where they belong." The line "It's not about the songs, it's about our God" turns worship away from performance and toward what believers do once the music stops.

The questions that follow carry the weight. "Who will stand and rise against injustice? Take up the cause of the unwanted ones?" is the language of Isaiah 1:17 and Micah 6:8, asking who will actually act on justice and mercy. The chorus answers in three short, hard-edged lines: "We live, we fight / We live, we die / We fight for love."

The closing picture contrasts "church windows breaking from people living outside the walls" with a bride who "must be ready for Jesus' imminent return."
