Remembering

Disciple admits distance from an ideal rather than claiming to have arrived in "Remembering" — "I am not where I should be, but I'm better than where I was" — crediting progress without inflating it into completion.

"Why did you show grace that was so undeserving, I may never know but I will give you everything" leaves the question of motive open rather than manufacturing an explanation, answering the mystery with commitment instead of certainty. "Until my dying breath I breathe" states that commitment as a single short line, deliberately brief compared to everything around it.

"In the Sea of forgetfulness, you through my sin into" borrows Micah's image of buried sin directly, and "touched me with your healing hands" pairs a physical verb with a spiritual claim. The closing verse restates the same rescue in starker terms — "I was still a sinner when you gave your life for me, while I cursed your name you stretched your hand out to rescue me" — naming hostility rather than mere distance as the condition the rescue actually answered.
