Israel Houghton

Israel Houghton was born on May 19, 1971, in Oceanside, California. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, and worship leader known for his work in contemporary Christian music and gospel. Houghton is widely recognized for his work with his worship team, Israel & New Breed, and he founded New Breed Ministries. He has been active in the music industry since 1997. Houghton has served as a worship leader at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. His musical style is noted for fusing elements of gospel, jazz, rock, and reggae.
