NewSong

NewSong was established in 1981 at Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia, beginning as a nine-member church band before transitioning into a full-time ministry. Founding members Eddie Carswell and Billy Goodwin helped shape the group, which has become a fixture in contemporary Christian music. Their musical style spans CCM, worship, and Christmas music, and they have maintained a long-standing mission to share the Gospel through their work. The band is perhaps best known for founding the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular in 1995, a massive annual concert tour that received the Gospel Music Association Impact Award in 2009. NewSong has also achieved multiple number one singles on Christian radio charts and has received several GMA Dove Award nominations as well as a Grammy Award nomination. Over the years, NewSong has released numerous albums, including *The Christmas Shoes* (2001) and *Church People* (2025). Their catalog includes songs such as "The Christmas Shoes," "Arise My Love," "When God Made You," "I Am A Christian," "Defining Moment," "One True God," "Church People," and "Rock Of Ages."
